Jodie Kocur is a Professor of Psychology at California Lutheran University (CLU), specializing in developmental and clinical psychology. She holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Counseling Psychology from Colorado State University. Her clinical training focused on therapy and assessment for children, adolescents, and families. Prior to CLU, she completed a clinical internship at The Help Group in Sherman Oaks, where she worked with children facing psychological challenges.
Her research centers on the transition of students on the autism spectrum to post-secondary education. She directs the College Skills Programs and co-directs the College Bound Academy, which support students with autism in transitioning from high school to college. Dr. Kocur also leads a research and clinical team, mentoring students in developmental, clinical, or counseling psychology. She teaches courses in Child and Adolescent Development, Child Psychopathology, Abnormal Psychology, and Psychological Assessment.
She joined CLU due to its commitment to teaching and mentoring students. Her work emphasizes practical support for neurodiverse students and fostering student-led research in clinical and developmental domains.
