Rebecca Porter-Miller is an Adjunct Professor at California Lutheran University (CLU), Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU), Oxnard College, and Ventura College. She holds a Ph.D. in Psychology with an emphasis on Cognition and Instruction from Grand Canyon University, alongside degrees in Addiction Counseling and Sociology. Her teaching career spans over 15 years, with a focus on psychology and criminal justice courses.

Dr. Porter-Miller's research interests center on cognition, learning, and biopsychology, driven by her fascination with the brain. She has transitioned from a clinical focus in addictive disorders to theoretical and applied psychology education.
She teaches a diverse range of courses, including Learning and Memory, Abnormal Psychology, Criminal Psychology, Biopsychology, Social Learning Theory, and Theories of Personality. Her career includes adjunct roles at Oxnard College (since 2007), CLU (2014–2019, then 2023), SNHU (online), and Ventura College (since 2023). She is also a Certified Addictions Treatment Counselor.
Personal details include being an "Army Brat" due to her upbringing on military bases in Germany, with a father who served in the Army for 30 years.
