Jenna Hess

Jenna Hess serves as a Lecturer in the Master of Science in Counseling Psychology program at California Lutheran University. She is a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) in California and holds the credential of AAMFT Approved Supervisor, teaching courses and providing supervision at the CLU Counseling clinic at the Oxnard Center.

Her professional expertise spans several key areas:

• Family Therapy and Systems Theory
• Child and Adolescent Therapy including parent-child play therapy
• Risk Assessment for social/emotional/relational issues
• Anxiety and Mood Disorders treatment
• Clinical Supervision and mindfulness-based interventions

With extensive experience across residential, community mental health, home-based, school-based, and private practice settings, she applies integrative systemic frameworks to diverse client populations. Her recent work includes tele-health services at the startup Two Chairs, focusing on evidence-based approaches for family and individual therapeutic contexts.

As an AAMFT Approved Supervisor, she mentors students and professionals in clinical practice through the CLU Counseling clinic and previous non-profit roles, emphasizing safety, health, and self-sufficiency in client outcomes.

She maintains active clinical engagement through the CLU Counseling clinic at the Oxnard Center, where she supervises student clinicians and contributes to community mental health services.
