Dr Joanne Bayly is a NIHR Research Fellow at the Cicely Saunders Institute of Palliative Care, Policy & Rehabilitation, King's College London. She holds a PhD from King's College London (2020) and has clinical experience in palliative care spanning over three decades. Her research focuses on rehabilitation models for palliative care patients with cancer, chronic respiratory diseases, and multi-morbidity. She has led or co-investigated major projects like INSPIRE (multinational palliative rehabilitation initiative) and contributed to policy on equitable healthcare access.

- Graduate Diploma in Physiotherapy, Leeds School of Physiotherapy (1987)
Research Interests: Her work addresses palliative care rehabilitation, cancer cachexia, nutritional interventions, and service integration to improve patient quality of life. Recent studies include systematic reviews on mobility interventions and meditative movement for breathlessness.

Labs/Teams: Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams in palliative care, oncology, and respiratory medicine across Europe and the UK. She also works with volunteer programs like St Christopher's Living Well at Home Team to enhance community rehabilitation access.
