Jimena Bermejo is a Professor of Practice and Senior Lecturer in Dance, and Director of the Dance Program at the College of the Holy Cross. She holds a BFA in Dance from The Boston Conservatory and an MFA from Massachusetts College of Art and Design's Studio for Interrelated Media. Her work explores themes of race, trauma, and identity through multidisciplinary performance, often collaborating with artists and initiating projects like "The Poetics of Aging" (2021). She has performed nationally and internationally, including at the Cathedral Arts Festival (Belfast, UK), Judson Church (NYC), and Le Lieu (Quebec). Bermejo is also Co-director of Mobius Artist Group and has received the 2021 Live Arts Boston Grant for collaborative work with La Trinchera Dance. Her teaching emphasizes accessibility, mentoring non-professional dancers and fostering community through movement.
