Jesus Garcia Alvarez

Jesus Garcia Alvarez is a Doctoral Contracted Professor at the Department of Pedagogy and Didactics within the Faculty of Education Sciences at the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC). He holds a doctorate from USC with International Mention and an additional doctorate from the Complutense University of Madrid.

His research focuses on labor pedagogy, analysis of labor insertion processes in higher education, active learning methodologies, transversal skills, and employability. He has participated in numerous R&D projects, including EDU2013-41687-R, EDU2015-66781-R, EDU2017-82629-R, and PID2021-122827OB-I00, alongside international collaborations under the Erasmus+ program.

Scientific awards include USC's Extraordinary Doctoral Award, Extraordinary End of Career Award, Extraordinary Master's Award, and competitive grants. He contributes to academic communities as Secretary of the Faculty of Education Sciences, Coordinator of the Erasmus Program at USC, and advisor for UNED at the Teixeiro Penitentiary Center.
