Jeremy Rock, PhD, is a Professor at Rockefeller University leading the Laboratory of Host-Pathogen Biology. His research focuses on understanding Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) biology, host-pathogen interactions, and antibiotic mechanisms to develop novel therapeutics. He earned a PhD from MIT (2012) and a BA from UC Berkeley (2004).
- Research Areas: Chemical biology, drug discovery, microbiology, tuberculosis pathogenesis, and antibiotic resistance.
- Key Approaches: Functional genomics, high-throughput screening, and chemical probe development.
Advising opportunities include postdoctoral, PhD, and undergraduate research positions. PhD programs include the David Rockefeller Graduate Program and Tri-Institutional programs in Chemical Biology and Computational Biology. Undergraduates can apply through the Chemers Neustein Summer Fellowship.
