Dr. Jenny Mason serves as the Dean of the Millard and J.J. Oakley School of Humanities, Education, and the Arts at Cumberland University, alongside holding the rank of Associate Professor of Psychology. She joined Cumberland in 2014, transitioning from roles as Assistant Dean and Interim Dean. Her teaching spans undergraduate courses in developmental psychology, abnormal psychology, and statistics for behavioral sciences, as well as graduate-level statistics. Prior roles include Adjunct Professorships at Lipscomb and Belmont Universities, clinical therapy focusing on aggression and sexual violence, and research consulting.

Her research focuses on parenting strategies for diabetic children, diversity valuing in college students, and workplace bullying intervention. She has collaborated on clinical and corporate projects across Tennessee, emphasizing practical applications in mental health and organizational training.
As Dean, Dr. Mason oversees interdisciplinary programs in humanities, education, and arts, fostering academic innovation and student success. Her career blends administrative leadership with scholarly contributions to psychological research and education.
