Dr Jenny Macleod is the Head of the School of Humanities at the University of Hull, holding a Senior Lecturer position in 20th Century History. She previously led the History department from 2019-2022 through transformative educational programs and pandemic challenges. Her research focuses on war memory, commemoration, and national identity, particularly regarding the World Wars. A leading scholar on the Gallipoli campaign’s legacy, she co-founded the International Society for First World War Studies, supporting early-career researchers globally.
