Dr. Jennifer Noseworthy is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Division of Natural Sciences at Indiana Wesleyan University. She specializes in plant biology, focusing on enhancing crop nutritional content and improving pollinator populations to address food production challenges.
- Bachelor's in Biology: Gordon College (2002)
- Master's in Horticultural Science: University of Florida (2005)
- Ph.D. in Plant Biology: University of New Hampshire (2012)
Her research emphasizes breeding vegetables with higher carotenoid content in winter squash and sweet potatoes, sustainable food systems, and organic agriculture. She received a $500,000 USDA NIFA grant (2021) to train undergraduates in pollinator conservation and food insecurity research.
Dr. Noseworthy mentors undergraduates and leads initiatives in greenhouse plant propagation and plant tissue culture. Her work bridges ecological research with practical applications for food security and sustainable farming practices.
