Dr. Jennifer Brannock Cox is a Professor at Salisbury University’s Department of Communication within the Fulton School of Liberal Arts, specializing in journalism and social media. She has authored the textbook Feature Writing and Reporting: Journalism in the Digital Age and is currently working on a forthcoming companion text, News Writing and Reporting in the Digital Age (due in late 2026).
Her research and teaching focus on journalism evolution in the Digital Age, covering traditional and emerging strategies like multimedia journalism, social media reporting, and ethical considerations in modern media. She emphasizes immersive, student-centric learning environments that simulate real-world newsrooms.
Dr. Cox also leads international internship initiatives for Salisbury University’s Fulton School through collaborations with AIFS Abroad, facilitating global experiential learning opportunities for students in journalism and liberal arts.
