Timothy J. Cox is a Clinical Associate Professor of English and holds the Fred H. Gertz Endowed Chair at Alfred University's College of Liberal Arts & Sciences. His teaching focuses on writing courses such as Writing 1, Technical Communications, and Business Writing, drawing from over 20 years of pedagogical experience. He has also taught literature, literary theory, and pedagogy courses.
Education: PhD in Comparative Literature from The Pennsylvania State University (1998).
Research & Interests: Cox specializes in 19th- and 20th-century narrative forms, rhetoric and composition theory, and professional communication practices. His work emphasizes cross-cultural pedagogy, having taught non-native speakers both domestically and abroad.
