Jennifer Bonnel is an Assistant Professor at Harvard University's Graduate School of Design and serves as Director of the Master in Architecture II Program. She is also the Director of MALL (Mass Architectural Loopty Loops), an architectural firm known for experimental projects that challenge typologies and cultural narratives.

Her research focuses on experimental architecture, typological hacking, and reappropriating history through design. Projects include proposals for tornado shelters, innovative roof typologies, and installations like flooding galleries with 7,000 gallons of water to explore authenticity in architectural practice.
Bonnel’s work has garnered significant recognition, including the AR Award for Emerging Architecture, the James Templeton Kelley Prize, and the Emerging Voices Award from the AIA/Young Architects Forum. She has also received two Faculty Design Awards from the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture and was named “Next Progressives” by Architect Magazine.
Her creative output has been published in both mainstream and experimental journals, including Architectural Review, Architectural Record, Wallpaper, and MAS Context. Exhibitions of her work span institutions like the Royal Institute of British Architects, the National Building Museum, and the Chicago Architecture Biennial.
