Jennifer A. Wenzel is an Associate Professor at the Johns Hopkins University Schools of Nursing and Medicine and holds an appointment in the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center. She directs the Pathway to PhD Nursing Scholars Program and the PhD and Postdoctoral Programs at the JHU School of Nursing.
Research Interests: Dr. Wenzel focuses on cancer disparities, patient navigation, community health worker interventions, and chronic illness self-management for older African American populations and cancer survivors. Her work emphasizes qualitative and mixed methods to improve care processes and clinical trial participation among minorities.
Publication Trends: Recent works address implementation science for patient navigation, decision-making in advanced cancer care, HIV post-exposure prophylaxis adherence, and Medicaid dental policy impacts. These align with her expertise in health equity, geriatrics, and patient-centered interventions.
