Jeffrey Peppercorn, MD, MPH is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and a medical oncologist specializing in breast cancer at Massachusetts General Hospital. He serves as Editor-in-Chief of JCO Oncology Practice and is an active Member of the Harvard Medical School Center for Bioethics.
Dr. Peppercorn earned his MD from Harvard Medical School and MPH from the Harvard School of Public Health, completing the HMS Bioethics Fellowship for specialized training.
His research centers on critical bioethics-policy intersections in oncology, with emphasis on:
- Healthcare costs and equitable access
- Clinical research ethics frameworks
- Physician-patient communication dynamics
- Shared decision-making implementation
He received the Greenwall Faculty Scholars Program fellowship, supporting early-career bioethics research.
