Robin Moira Jones is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School and a child neurologist at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), with dual expertise in clinical neurology and bioethics through her membership in the HMS Center for Bioethics.
Her educational background includes:
- BA in Philosophy from Yale University
- Medical training in Child Neurology at MGH
- Research fellowship in Neuro-oncology at MGH
- HMS Bioethics Fellowship (2017)
- HMS Master of Bioethics (2019)
Dr. Jones's research integrates two critical domains: clinically, she investigates late effects of pediatric brain tumor treatments, specializing in cerebellar mutism syndrome; ethically, she examines systemic challenges in childhood assent processes for research, focusing on IRB protocols and investigator practices to enhance pediatric participant welfare. Her work bridges neurological outcomes with ethical frameworks in vulnerable populations.
At MGH, she serves on the Optimum Care Committee and Pediatric Ethics Committee while providing neurological care for the Pediatric Hematology Oncology program, leveraging MGH's proton treatment center for childhood brain tumors to advance both clinical practice and ethical standards in pediatric oncology.
