Isabel C. Legarda, MD serves as part-time faculty in the Medical Ethics & Professionalism program at Harvard Medical School and within the Department of Anesthesia, Critical Care, and Pain Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. She is additionally a staff clinician at Boston MindCare PC and an active member of the HMS Center for Bioethics.
Her academic training includes:

- M.B.E. (Master of Bioethics) from Harvard Medical School
Dr. Legarda specializes in narrative ethics, ethics pedagogy, and narrative medicine, integrating literary approaches into medical education. She has taught medical ethics at Harvard Medical School and literature-and-ethics courses at Tufts University, emphasizing storytelling's role in clinical decision-making and professional identity formation.
Through the HMS Center for Bioethics, she contributes to institutional ethics initiatives including the Surgical Ethics Working Group and Harvard Ethics Consultation Skills Course, advancing practical applications of bioethics in healthcare systems.
