Jeffery Volz is the Associate Dean for Partnerships and a Professor in the School of Civil Engineering and Environmental Science (CEES) at the University of Oklahoma's Gallogly College of Engineering. He is a licensed Structural Engineer in Illinois and Hawaii, and a licensed Professional Engineer in Illinois and Missouri.

His research focuses on integrating structural engineering with material science to enhance the resiliency and sustainability of building and bridge systems. He has secured research grants from the National Science Foundation (NSF), Department of Defense (DoD), Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), state transportation departments, and industry sponsors like BASF and Dolese.
Before academia, Volz spent 16 years in industry, working on projects including the NBC Tower, AT&T Tower, and Canary Wharf development while employed by firms such as Skidmore, Owings and Merrill (SOM), Portland Cement Association, Stantec, and Holabird & Root. He currently serves on ACI Committee 318, which writes the structural concrete building code, and has advised student teams like the ASCE Concrete Canoe Competition Team.
