Jeff Hill

Jeff Hill is a Professor in the Department of General Dentistry at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry, serving since October 2012. He also holds the role of Scientist at the Global Center for Craniofacial, Oral and Dental Disorders (GC-CODED) since January 2017 and has been Director of General Dentistry since September 2007. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from UAB in 1998.

His research focuses on:

• Oral manifestations of HIV/AIDS and associated risk factors
• Dental coding education and practices
• Craniofacial and oral disorder pathogenesis
• Longitudinal studies on HIV-related oral health

His publications center on HIV oral epidemiology, particularly lesion prevalence patterns in Alabama patients receiving antiretroviral therapy.

He teaches Dental Coding courses (DENT2218/DENT5218) and advised PhD candidate Irene M Tami Maury (2007-2010). He conducts research through GC-CODED.
