Jay Romines serves as an Adjunct Instructor of Music (Saxophone) and Director of the MC3 Band at Maryville College, affiliated with the Division of Fine Arts. He holds a B.S. from the University of Tennessee and an M.M. from Indiana University.
Research & Instruction Focus: Romines specializes in saxophone pedagogy and wind ensemble performance. His role in the MC3 Band, established in 1992 by Professor Larry Smithee, involves leading a diverse group of musicians from East Tennessee, including educators, students, and professionals, through symphonic band repertoire spanning the wind band tradition.
