Jay Milano

Jay Milano is a Lecturer at multiple institutions, including Case Western Reserve School of Law (30 years), The Ohio State University (10 years), Baldwin Wallace University Institute for Learning in Retirement (starting 2025), and Capital University School of Law (1 year). He specializes in Trial Tactics, Media Law, and Ethics.

His research interests focus on the interplay between the First Amendment and Sixth Amendment rights, media law and ethics, civil and criminal trial practice, and the legal implications of media coverage in complex cases. He has represented high-profile clients, including journalists prosecuted for refusing to disclose work product and provided expert analysis for NBC, NPR, and 60 Minutes segments on legal controversies.

In 2023, he was honored as one of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association's 18 Living Legacy Lawyers for transforming legal, business, and civic arenas in Greater Cleveland. He has also served as Ethics Chair for the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association and Cuyahoga County Bar Association.
