Veronica Rivera Mueller serves as an Assistant Professor of Legal Writing at St. Thomas University College of Law in Miami Gardens, Florida, leveraging over ten years of criminal prosecution experience to teach legal analysis, written advocacy, and ethical courtroom practices.

She holds a B.S. in Business Management from the University of South Florida and a J.D. from Ave Maria School of Law, maintaining active membership in the Florida Bar.

Her expertise spans Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, Legal Research and Writing, Rules of Evidence, and Trial Advocacy, with research emphasizing complex criminal cases—including homicide, vehicular manslaughter, and organized fraud targeting vulnerable populations—through meticulous legal writing and victim-centered ethical frameworks.

Prior to academia, she led multi-jurisdictional prosecutions as a Senior Assistant Statewide Prosecutor and prosecuted capital offenses in the Broward County State Attorney’s Office Homicide Unit, mentoring junior prosecutors and collaborating with community groups on senior citizen fraud prevention initiatives.
