Jason Joseph is an Instructor of Mathematics at the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics (NCSSM) in Morganton, North Carolina. He received his PhD in Mathematics from the University of Georgia in 2020 under the supervision of David Gay and completed a postdoc at Rice University. His research focuses on smooth low-dimensional topology, particularly 4-dimensional manifolds and knotted surfaces, with connections to algebraic structures.

Jason has taught diverse courses such as precalculus, linear algebra, and topology, and has mentored students through programs like Camp Euclid and the Directed Reading Programs at Rice and UGA.
