معرفی
Terrin Warren is a Frost Postdoctoral Fellow at California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly), with a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Georgia (2024). Previously, she was a graduate student at UGA, where she actively participated in topology seminars and taught introductory and graduate-level courses. Her research focuses on low-dimensional topology (dimensions 3-5), particularly on diffeomorphisms of 4-manifolds, exotic phenomena, and knotted surfaces.
She has implemented innovative teaching methods, including flipped classrooms for calculus and precalculus, and co-developed graduate teaching courses on pedagogy. Her outreach initiatives include co-organizing UGA MathCamp, STEMzone events, and creating award-winning science communication materials. She advocates for inclusive classrooms, completed UGA LGBT Center's Safe Space training, and participates in professional service through committees like the Climate and Inclusion Committee.
Terrin’s academic collaborations span national conferences (AMS, Joint Math Meetings) and workshops (Trisectors, Georgia Topology Conference). Her published work in Involve journal (2019) explores number-theoretic questions, reflecting interdisciplinary interests.
