Dr. Jason Beste, MD, MPH, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Research and Public Health at Creighton University School of Medicine. He serves as Executive Director of the Arrupe Global Scholars and Partnerships Program, focusing on health systems strengthening in post-conflict settings. A dual graduate of Creighton University (undergraduate and medical degree), he completed residency training at Albert Einstein School of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center and an Infectious Disease fellowship with an MPH at the University of Washington.

Dr. Beste specializes in health systems strengthening in post-conflict environments, with extensive experience in Liberia, Malawi, and Mozambique. His work addresses health equity, infectious disease management, and primary care delivery in resource-limited settings. He previously held faculty appointments at Harvard Medical School and the University of Washington, where he contributed to global health education and research.
His research spans HIV/TB diagnostics, post-Ebola recovery, and structural drivers of health disparities. Recent publications analyze mental health screening tools in Liberia, HIV care models in Malawi, and ART scale-up strategies in Ukraine. Dr. Beste co-chaired the Liberia NCDI Poverty Commission Report, advocating for non-communicable disease integration in post-conflict health systems.
Currently, he leads global health initiatives through Creighton University's Arrupe Global Scholars program, fostering partnerships to improve healthcare access in underserved regions.
