Kristina Talbert-Slagle is an Assistant Professor at the Yale School of Medicine and a Core Faculty member at the Equity Research and Innovation Center. She is also Associate Director of Faculty Mentorship and Academic Programs at the Yale Institute for Global Health. Her work focuses on global health equity, health systems strengthening, and interdisciplinary education.

Dr. Talbert-Slagle's research bridges molecular virology and social systems analysis. She examines how interpersonal, institutional, and ecological factors influence infectious disease dynamics and public health outcomes, particularly in resource-constrained settings like Liberia.
Her recent publications highlight trends in health workforce education, power dynamics in global health collaborations, and the adaptation of evidence-based frameworks for local health interventions. These works span topics from HIV pathogenesis to community health systems improvement.
