Jasmine Chia is a Lecturer at the School of Pharmacy, Monash University Malaysia. She holds a PhD in Human Physiology from Universiti Putra Malaysia and a BSc in Medical Biosciences from Monash University Malaysia. Her research focuses on neuropathic pain mechanisms, natural product therapeutics, inflammation, and public health nutrition. She previously led the SEANUTS II Malaysia survey, analyzing childhood nutrition and lifestyle data across Malaysia. Currently, she serves as Honorary Assistant Secretary at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (2021–2025) and is a council member of the Malaysian Association for the Study of Obesity (MASO), organizing public health initiatives since 2021.
Her work addresses UN SDGs related to health and well-being. Research highlights include investigating zerumbone's pain-modulating effects and advancing in vitro models for neuropathic pain studies.
Jasmine has supervised research projects at Management and Science University, emphasizing innovative teaching methods. Her contributions span peer-reviewed articles on pain pathways and pharmacological interventions, cited in patents and widely referenced in academic platforms.
