Jared Hartt is a Professor of Music Theory at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, Oberlin College, where he has taught since 2007. He specializes in medieval music, particularly 13th- and 14th-century motets and the works of Guillaume de Machaut. His courses span music theory, aural skills, counterpoint, and medieval motets.
