Janosch Brenneisen (born 1981) is a Lecturer for Technical Aural Training at the Institute for Music and Media of the Robert Schumann University Düsseldorf. His career spans music production, audio engineering, and jazz performance.
- Study: Jazz drums at Conservatorium van Amsterdam (2001–2005), Diploma in Sound and Image Technology at FH and RSH Düsseldorf (2004–2010)
- Professional roles: Freelance work for WDR (2006–2015), ZDF (2006–2015), and Bonito TV (Harald Schmidt Show), Co-founder of S/RENE recording studio (2010–2017), Production engineer at ZDF regional studio (2016–present)
Research and teaching focus on technical aural training and artistic music production, with expertise in studio engineering, post-production workflows, and immersive audio technologies. His work bridges classical music theory with modern media applications.
Scientific awards:
- AES Student Recording Competition: First prize in Non Classical Surround category (2009)
Brenneisen has collaborated with international artists through S/RENE recording studio and served as team leader for studio and post-production at ZDF since 2016. He teaches in the Master’s program for Artistic Music Production at RSH Düsseldorf.
