Andreas Gernemann-Paulsen

Andreas Gernemann-Paulsen is a Lecturer for Surround Production at the Institute for Music and Media, Robert Schumann University Düsseldorf. His work bridges musicology, sound engineering, and digital media, with a focus on classical music recording and surround production techniques.

His research interests include hybrid network interactivity, surround microphone techniques, and historical/cultural information processing. He has contributed to awards-winning music productions and broadcasts, and co-developed advanced surround simulcast tools.

He has participated in the DFG Research College 427 on Media and Cultural Communication, taught at Erasmus International Summer Schools in Musicology, and served on the organizing committee for the International Conference of Students of Systematic Musicology (SysMus).
