Jane O'Reilly is an Associate Professor at the Telfer School of Management, University of Ottawa. She holds a PhD from the Sauder School of Business (University of British Columbia), an M.Sc. in Management from Queen's University School of Business, and a B.Com. from Queen's University.

Her research focuses on informal workplace interactions, particularly mistreatment and social sexual behaviors in organizations. Key areas include bystander intervention in workplace bullying, workplace social exclusion, and the dynamics of mental health disclosure. She explores how social networks influence work meaningfulness and the paradoxical effects of positive social sexual behavior in professional settings.
Recent publications address topics like customer incivility in service roles, mental health disclosure climates, and forgiveness dynamics in organizations. Her work appears in journals such as Academy of Management Review, Journal of Organizational Behavior, and Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes.
She is funded through major Canadian grants including SSHRC Insight Grants, Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) infrastructure grants, and internal University of Ottawa research funds. Her research program includes the Triple-I Lab (Inclusion, Interaction, and Intervention) and focuses on workplace wellbeing, mental health disclosure, and organizational climates.
