Alex Milam

Alex Milam, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Industrial/Organizational Psychology in the College of Human Sciences and Humanities at the University of Houston–Clear Lake. He earned his doctorate in Industrial Organizational Psychology from the University of Houston in 2010.

His research examines:

• Workplace mistreatment (incivility, ostracism, sexual harassment)
• Training and development methodologies
• Personality dynamics in organizational settings
• Cross-cultural patterns of workplace behavior through the Global Workplace Mistreatment consortium

Dr. Milam has presented research globally and published in the Journal of Occupational Health Psychology. He serves on the editorial board of the Romanian Journal of Applied Psychology and reviews for Human Relations and Journal of Health Psychology.

He leads the Global Workplace Mistreatment Consortium at UHCL, investigating universal and culture-specific aspects of workplace mistreatment.
