Jane Beniston

Jane Beniston is the Early Years Initial Teacher Training (EYITT) Course Coordinator at Newman University's Faculty of Education. She has 13 years of experience teaching across undergraduate, foundation degree, and master's programs, with a focus on Early Childhood Education and Care. Her roles include leading the EYITT programme, which provides placements for trainees across the 0-5 age range in collaboration with local settings.

Qualifications: BEd (Hons), MEd, MTLA, Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Research interests include child development, contemporary educational issues, and education studies. She has served as an external examiner for UCAS (2016) and the University of Malta (2017). Notable awards include the 2016 Award for Student as Academic Partner (Project of the Year) and Newman Fellow 2016. She also led the REACT student engagement project.
