James Newlin is a Lecturer at Case Western Reserve University, affiliated with the Writing Program Faculty. He earned a PhD in English from the University of Florida and focuses on Shakespearean studies, early modern British literature, film, and psychoanalysis.

He is co-editor of an academic volume analyzing Shakespeare through psychoanalysis, with an emphasis on cognitive frameworks.
