James Francis Antaki is the Susan K. McAdam Professor of Heart Assist Technology at Cornell University's Meinig School of Biomedical Engineering. His research focuses on blood-wetted medical devices, with pioneering contributions to ventricular assist systems like the Streamliner, HeartMate-II, and pediatric devices such as PediaFlow. He leads the Antaki Lab, emphasizing interdisciplinary innovation in circulatory support, diagnostic tools, and global health applications.
