Jaehwuen Jung is an Associate Professor in the Department of Management Information Systems at the Fox School of Business and Management, Temple University. His research focuses on the social, economic, and behavioral impacts of information technology, particularly through peer influence, social contagion, and platform design in digital ecosystems.

Research Interests: Jung investigates the interplay between technology channels, digital platforms, and user behavior using interdisciplinary methods. Key areas include social influence dynamics, matching market design in online dating, prosocial call-to-action strategies, and causal inference through field experiments. His work integrates theories from information systems, marketing, economics, and social psychology.
Recent Publications: His studies on virtual influencer effectiveness, service provider identity disclosure, and social commerce demonstrate trends in AI ethics, platform design, and digital marketing. These leverage econometric analysis, machine learning, and structural modeling for causal insights.

Advising & Industry Experience: Prior to academia, he worked for 6.5 years as an IT application architect, specializing in project management, systems integration, and legacy migration. His teaching includes undergraduate Database Management (MIS 2502) and graduate Foundations of Electronic Commerce Research (MIS 9003).
