Jing Gong is an Associate Professor at the University of Virginia's McIntire School of Commerce, specializing in the Information Technology & Innovation Area. She holds a Ph.D. in Information Systems and Management from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor's degree from Tsinghua University. Previously, she served on faculty at Lehigh University and Temple University.
Her research employs econometric modeling, Bayesian statistics, and field experiments to analyze digital markets. Core interests include:
- Economics of peer-to-peer platforms and online labor markets
- Digital marketing effectiveness and advertising strategies
- Policy impacts on technology adoption (e.g., EV subsidies, STEM visas)
