Jacek SARYUSZ-WOLSKI is the Chairman of the College of Europe Natolin Campus since 2004. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Łódź and studied at the Centre Europeen Universitaire in Nancy, France. His academic career includes roles as Assistant and Associate Professor at the University of Łódź’s Institute of Economics, Professor of European Integration at the Collegium Civitas in Warsaw, and at the College of Europe (Natolin). He also served as Vice-Rector at the College of Europe Natolin and Director of the Centre for European Studies at the University of Łódź. Additionally, he was a Jean Monnet Fellow at the European University Institute in Florence.
In government, he acted as Poland’s European Affairs Minister during its EU accession negotiations and as Chief Adviser to the Prime Minister (1991–96 and 1999–2001). Since 2014, he has been a Member of the European Parliament, serving as Vice-President of the European Parliament, Chair of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, and in leadership roles within the European People’s Party (EPP). He sits on boards of think tanks such as TEPSA, Polish Institute for International Affairs (as Vice-President), Friends of Europe, and the European Policy Centre.
