Marek Aleksander Cichocki is an Associate Professor at the European Civilization Chair and Visiting Professor at the European Interdisciplinary Studies Department of the College of Europe in Natolin, Poland. He also holds a professorship in International Relations at the Collegium Civitas in Warsaw. His research focuses on international relations, German European politics, and the intellectual and political history of Europe.
He has lectured at prestigious institutions including the Warsaw University, Polish Academy of Sciences, and the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas in Rome. Cichocki is the editor-in-chief of the annual journal Teologia Polityczna, and teaches a simulation game titled Drafting a Peace Treaty for the End of the Cold War, where students negotiate post-Cold War geopolitical dynamics.
His publications span topics like Cold War historiography, German political paradoxes, and European integration challenges. Key works include Outset of the End of History (2021) and Walka o świat (2022), analyzing geopolitical rivalries and historical determinism.
Cichocki’s academic contributions bridge historical analysis with contemporary policy, emphasizing the interplay between political traditions and modern geopolitical realities.
