J. Lee Whittington is a Professor of Management and Dean at the Gupta College of Business, University of Dallas. He holds a PhD in Organizational Behavior from the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) and has over two decades of industry experience in manufacturing and distribution, including executive roles in marketing and logistics. His research focuses on leadership, employee engagement, and the intersection of spirituality and work, with notable publications such as Biblical Perspectives on Leadership and Organizations and Enhancing Employee Engagement: An Evidence-Based Approach.
Education: BA in Economics and Political Science (Austin College), MBA and PhD (UTA).
Research Interests: Leadership development, spiritual leadership, employee engagement strategies, workplace spirituality, and organizational ethics. He advocates for integrating faith-based principles into management practices to foster meaningful work environments.
Awards: Recognized for teaching excellence (Haggerty Award) and research (Distinguished Scholar in Organizational Behavior). His leadership as Dean secured AACSB accreditation for the Gupta College of Business.
