J. David Lichtenthal is a Professor in the Allen G. Aaronson Department of Marketing & International Business at the Zicklin School of Business, Baruch College (CUNY). With a PhD in Business Marketing from Pennsylvania State University (1986), he has taught courses like Marketing Foundations and Business Marketing Management since 2001. His research focuses on organizational marketing, tactical mix, journal management issues, and internet integration in business marketing.

His scholarly work emphasizes B2B marketing, including brand equity, innovation strategies, and digital transformation in industrial selling. As Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Business-to-Business Marketing, he shaped academic discourse for over 20 years.
Lichtenthal has received numerous honors, including the Baruch College President’s Excellence Award for Distinguished Teaching (2004) and the Pearl and Lewis Jacobs Award from SUNY Buffalo (1977). He serves on editorial boards of Journal of Business Research, Industrial Marketing Management, and Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management, while mentoring doctoral candidates and organizing academic forums.
