Prof. Dr. Ivan Blinkov is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Forestry, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, where he has been employed since 1987. He progressed through academic ranks from junior assistant to full professor (2008), teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in geodesy, erosion control, hydrology, land management, and natural disaster risk mitigation.
He holds a Bachelor's degree (1986), Master's degree (1995), and PhD (1998) from the Faculty of Forestry in Skopje. His academic research focuses on:
- Soil and water conservation techniques
- Erosion dynamics in watersheds
- Hydrological modeling of torrential systems
- Land degradation and desertification processes
- Natural disaster risk assessment and mitigation
