Isabel Paredes is an Invited Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Lisbon, where she teaches Work and Organizational Psychology, Recruitment & Selection, and Training and Development. She also serves as Partner and Chief Psychologist at SHL Portugal (focusing on R&D and Quality Assurance) and co-coordinates the Post-Graduation Strategic HR Practices program at ISEG Executive Education.

She has pioneered assessment methodologies including large-scale recruitment systems, 360° feedback projects, and competency-based interviewing frameworks that integrate psychological science with organizational development.
Her publication portfolio reveals consistent focus on gender dynamics in competency assessment and cross-cultural validation of career adaptability metrics, demonstrating methodological rigor in translating psychological constructs into practical HR tools for Portuguese-speaking contexts.
As an educator, she has supervised trainees from Portuguese universities and Erasmus students while developing specialized training programs covering Talent Management, Corporate Culture, Assessment Centers, and Gender Equality – reflecting her commitment to bridging academic research and industry application in human resources.
