Ana Isabel Morais is a Full Professor at ISEG (Lisbon School of Economics & Management, ULisboa), specializing in Accounting. She serves as Executive Director of IDEFE (ISEG Executive Education) and holds leadership roles, including Vice-President of the Portuguese Accounting Standardization Committee and Chairwoman of EPAL’s Audit Committee. Her research focuses on accounting standards, financial reporting, and sustainability.
Education: PhD in Management (2000, ISCTE); Aggregation in Management Sciences (2014, ISEG). She is also a certified auditor.
Research interests include the impact of accounting standards, audit committee dynamics, non-financial reporting, and corporate governance. She has authored over 10 books on accounting topics and frequently presents at international conferences.
Professional roles beyond academia include chairing the Audit Committee of Banco Santander Portugal and supervising over 40 Master’s theses. Her work bridges academic research with industry practices, emphasizing transparency and accountability in financial and sustainability reporting.
