Dr. Irmi Wachendorff is an Associate Professor at the University of Reading, Department of Typography & Graphic Communication, where she has taught since 2017. Her work bridges typography, graphic communication, visual culture, and sociolinguistics, with a focus on typographic landscapes in multilingual urban environments. She investigates how letterforms and typographic decisions shape social practices in global cities.
