Irene de Graaf

Dr. Irene de Graaf is a Teaching Professor and Principal Educator at the Faculty of Medicine (FdG) of Amsterdam University Medical Centers (Amsterdam UMC). As a gynaecologist-perinatologist, her dual focus combines clinical practice with educational innovation. Since her appointment in June 2016, she has dedicated one day weekly to advancing medical education through the Teaching & Learning Centre (TLC). Her work emphasizes preparing future physicians for professional challenges, particularly addressing cultural norms in healthcare that demand resilience, self-awareness, and work-life balance.
