Marieke Sijm

Marieke Sijm is an Assistant Professor (university lecturer) at the Medical Informatics program, Faculty of Medicine, University of Amsterdam. She serves as a Principal Educator since June 2019 (reappointed in 2022), focusing on integrating sustainability and Lean principles into medical education. Her work aligns with the Amsterdam UMC Centrum voor Duurzame Zorg (Center for Sustainable Healthcare).

Her research and educational initiatives emphasize ecological sustainability, curriculum development in Lean methodologies, and collaboration across disciplines.
