Professor Ira Bloom is a distinguished legal academic specializing in trusts, estates, and taxation. He has played a pivotal role in modernizing New York’s trust laws through his co-authored Final Report on a new trust code and ongoing legislative advisory work. Currently holding the Justice David Josiah Brewer Distinguished Professorship at Albany Law School, he has taught at several institutions, including Loyola University College of Law and Tulane University School of Law.

- Principal author of the two-volume treatise "Drafting New York Wills and Related Documents"
