Igor Marjanović is the William Ward Watkin Dean Professor, specializing in architectural pedagogy and practice. His research explores the role of drawings, exhibitions, and publications in shaping international architectural culture. He holds a Ph.D. from University College London, M.Arch. from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and B.Arch. from the University of Belgrade, Serbia.
His research interests focus on Cold War architectural education in East Central Europe, globalized dialogues between art and architecture, and the historiography of architectural journals. Notable publications include Marina City: Bertrand Goldberg’s Urban Vision and The Evolving Project, a co-edited volume on postwar architectural pedagogy.
Marjanović’s current work examines how architects created formal and political imaginaries during the Cold War. His practice collaborations, such as City of Arrivals with Katerina Rüedi Ray’s ReadyMade Studio, address immigration and globalization through community-led installations.
