AnnMarie Brennan is a Senior Lecturer in Design Theory at the Melbourne School of Design, University of Melbourne. Her academic roles include teaching architectural theory and studio design. Her research focuses on the history and theory of 20th- and 21st-century design and architecture, with special interests in architectural utopian studies, political economy of design, media studies, and material culture. She holds degrees from Catholic University of America (B.A. 1993, B.Arch 1994), Yale University (M.E.D. 2001), and Princeton University (M.A. 2003, Ph.D. 2011). Currently, she is transforming her doctoral work on Olivetti's industrial utopia into a book manuscript.
